SASKIA DIEZ – OLFACTORY TREASURES
After becoming a goldsmith, Saskia Diez studied industrial design at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. She worked as a designer for renowned companies and designers such as Rosenthal, Christian Haas and Konstantin Grcic, before opening her own studio in Munich’s Glockenbachviertel in 2007. Her formally reduced designs reveal influences from fine arts, fashion and industrial design. They impress with clarity and intelligent simplicity, play with tradition and modernism and refer to the zeitgeist without being fashionable. They deliberately question the principles and standards of how traditional pieces of jewelry are manufactured. Despite her serious, reflective way of working, her designs never lack of poetry. Her art pieces have already been exhibited in Germany, France and Japan.

November 2013, Saskia Diez launched her first “invisible, olfactory jewelry,” the two Eau de Perfume fragrances GOLD and SILVER. The nose behind those two scents is perfume artist Geza Schön.
OLFACTORY TREASURES
The high art of perfumes is many things: fantasy, experiment, concept – but also something called “translation”. It translates ideas into scents.
Or even material things into a fragrance. An unusual and particularly successful example: the scents SILVER & GOLD, Geza Schön created for the jewelry designer Saskia Diez. SILVER & GOLD are two very different interpretations of those precious metals that don’t have an aroma themselves: GOLD is warm, sweet and feminine, SILVER smells bright, cool and fresh.
GOLD
GOLD is a warm, sweet and rather feminine scent. A profound cocktail of magnolia, juniper and amber, topped with a slightly bitter moss and a touch of patchouli. GOLD perfectly reflects the richness and warm glow of this precious metal, combining it with a gentle fruity sweetness.
SILVER
The metal silver is a strong light reflector, and that’s how the scent SILVER appears: bright, cool, sharp. Bergamot and lemon gives it freshness in the top note, but at the same time coriander, cardamom, ginger and lily give it this sensual and captivating flavor; Vetiver, cedar and a hint of musk lightly accentuating it.
